Michelle Walker, Director and Lead Teacher

Michelle is an early childhood educator and leader dedicated to advancing inclusive, neurodiversity-affirming learning environments where every child is supported through relationships, respect, and individualized care. She brings both professional expertise and lived experience as the parent of a neurodivergent child, grounding her leadership in empathy, advocacy, and a deep commitment to honoring each child’s unique developmental path.

Michelle has extensive experience across early childhood settings, including serving as a parent educator for families and as a preschool teacher in both tuition-based and state-funded programs. As Department Head of Inclusion, she led the design and implementation of strengths-based practices that support regulation, engagement, and meaningful participation for all learners.

As Bridges’ Director, Michelle is committed to cultivating a community where children are deeply understood, families are authentic partners, and educators are supported in creating environments where every child can thrive.

 
 

Linsay Reijmer, Occupational Therapist

Linsay MOT, OTR/L is a pediatric occupational therapist with eight years of experience supporting young children and their families across private outpatient, early intervention, and teletherapy settings.

Her most meaningful work to date was in a private preschool in Atlanta, where she partnered closely with speech therapists, special educators, and psychologists to co-teach classrooms serving children with diverse communication profiles. This interdisciplinary, in-classroom approach deeply shaped her belief in integrated, relationship-based support.

Linsay brings a thoughtful and holistic lens to her work, with a focus on early literacy, social-emotional development, sensory processing, and overall child development. She is especially passionate about meeting children where they are and supporting growth through connection, play, and meaningful daily experiences.

She is excited to be part of the founding team at Bridges Development Center, helping to create a space where neurodivergent children are understood, supported, and celebrated.

Outside of her work, Linsay enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children, traveling to visit extended family, staying active, baking and cooking, being outdoors, and connecting with friends.

 
 

Erin Metz, Speech Pathologist

Erin Metz, M.A., CCC-SLP is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with extensive experience supporting neurodivergent children and their families across a variety of settings, including early intervention, outpatient therapy, school-based programs, and private practice.

Erin earned her undergraduate degree in biopsychology before completing her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Her work is grounded in a family-centered, relationship-based approach, with a focus on supporting meaningful, functional communication within the context of each child’s daily life.

She has received training in a range of developmental and neurodiversity-affirming frameworks, including the PLAY Project, SCERTS, TEACCH, and NDT. Erin is especially passionate about supporting the whole child and partnering closely with families to build skills that are both authentic and impactful.

Erin is excited to be part of the Bridges team and to help build a program that reflects the kind of thoughtful, connected support she has always believed children and families deserve.

Outside of her work, Erin enjoys life at home with her husband and their three tween/teen boys. As a family, they love to travel, cook, and share good food together.
